This wine is succulent on the palate and approachable in its medium-bodied ripeness and acidity. Apple, pear and lemon all figure into the layers of flavor, the oak well contained.
Golden apple and pear lead to a creamy midpalate of rich banana before showing a touch of French oak and baking spice on a moderate finish.
Toasty grain scents and candied orange peel flavors meet the bitterness of citrus pith in this simple, supple chardonnay, a clean white to chill for aperitifs.

The 2018 Pinot Noir Velvet Sisters is an attractive wine, but it is also lacking in body. The aromatics are promising, yet the fruit feels dried out and the wine feels light. I expect more here.
Full bodied and complex, this dry wine offers tempting clove and cedar aromas, cinnamon and black-cherry flavors and a fairly firm texture.
This wine has a nice, calm smell of vanilla and a whisper of butter. The palate is rich yet refreshing with a slight grip. This is a solid American Chard. Bring this to any event, and it will absolutely please a crowd.
Plenty of melon, honeydew, and white flower notes emerge from the 2019 White Pinot Noir, a soft, forward, deliciously juicy white that's about as easy-drinking as they come. It might be the first white Pinot Noir I've ever tasted.
Blackcurrants, black cherries, cedarwood, candied violets, and a touch of chocolate all emerge from the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Trace Ridge. Medium to full-bodied, it has a round, chewy texture, good depth of fruit, and plenty of character. Drink it over the coming decade.
The larger production 2019 Chardonnay Vintners Reserve is a charmer, with clean citrus and melon fruits as well as a medium-bodied, nicely balanced, juicy, clean, and easy-drinking style on the palate. It's another solid, well-made wine from this team.
Sweet and fruity on the nose, smelling like cherry cola. The alcohol is high for a Pinot Noir, but it is well-balanced, and the heat doesn’t mess with the depth of fruit. This wine wants a selection of soft cheeses.
Smells like lean, ripe cherries with a savory, almost musky feel. The palate is full of balanced Pinot Noir. It has good natural acidity, and the earthiness pops out here. This is a great wine for a wine and cheese party or pizza night.
This wine smells like vanilla cherry cola. It has a nice, rich, and broad mouthfeel. The acidity lifts the wine enough to not mess with the subtle depth.
Smells meaty and savory, with a bunch of crushed cherries and a whiff of cinnamon. The palate has nice depth, with good natural acidity broadening the wine. This is a good wine and cheese party bottle.
This wine smells like cherries and beets, with a whiff of cinnamon. Calm on the palate with a nice, rich core of fruit balanced with active natural acidity. This is a great Pinot for all the things; pizza nights, parties, wine clubs, chilled down for wine lunches, etc.
Clean lines of hot sandstone, lemon butter and paraffin show on the nose of this bottling. Baked nectarine, guava, pineapple and a hint of brioche come through on the palate, which is mellow in texture.
Struck stone aromas lead into aromas of dried honeydew melon on the nose of this bottling. The palate kicks into gear with a slightly sour grape-fruit flavor, and smashed almond richness rises on the finish.
Very smooth and mouthfilling, this medium-bodied wine offers watermelon and light herb aromas followed by rather rich plum and peach flavors.
Light pink with a really reductive nose, but the palate is not nearly as bad as the nose. There’s fruit, acid, balance, but it is marred by that nose. Very Good.
Dark cherry, plum, bittersweet chocolate, menthol and cloves infuse the 2015 Lassègue. This supple, voluptuous Saint-Émilion will drink well right out of the gate. As good as the 2015 is, it would be nice to see a wine with more complexity and pedigree. Lassègue is 55% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, done in 70% new oak.
Plum cake and blackberry confiture notes belie the lighter profile of the vintage, while ambitious toast, fruitcake and licorice accents manage to integrate through the finish. A bit obvious in style, but will certainly have fans. Drink now through 2019.
The 2012 Lassègue is bold, powerful and explosive in the glass. Raspberry jam, flowers and spice open up as this open-knit Saint-Emilion shows off its supple personality. Sweet, perfumed aromatics add an attractive upper register with hints of red cherry, plum and wild flowers that are laced into the radiant, expressive finish. The 2012 is 70% Merlot, 23% Cabernet Franc and 7% Cabernet Sauvignon.
