Has a wonderful sense of harmony and finesse, with spicy, peppery cherry and raspberry flavors playing off toasty, buttery oak notes. Fine balance, crisp acidity and a long, fruity finish. Tasty now, but should hold well through 1998.
Boysenberry and chocolate flavors flood the taste buds as this full-bodied and broad-textured wine fills the mouth with richness. It tastes lush and ripe, feels smooth and almost soft.
Roadworthy. That's what I like to call a wine that's available across the fifty states, one that I can pop into a market just about anywhere and find when I'm out on the road and enjoy with a take out sandwich or pizza. This could be the most reliable line in America. The Zin features bright spicy berry fruit, mouthwatering acidity and a medium long finish that brings a nice black pepper bite forward. Restaurant buyer alert -- this is solid BTG material.
Smooth and juicy with black raspberry sweet vanilla oak; generous and fresh, long and balanced.
Fresh in zingy, ripe blackberry flavor, this well-made Zin has firm tannins and a dollop of peppery spice on the finish.
Medium red-ruby. Raspberry, cherry, lead pencil and mint on the nose. Silky and rather soft in the mouth, with attractive, sweet flavors of red fruits and spices. Finishes with dusty tannins.
"Long on ripeness and evocative of sweet berries throughout its length, this full and fairly luscious wine hangs onto varietal fruit where many of its alcoholic ilk do not, and its appealing spice further helps it stave off the jammy simplicity and dullness that can come with its late-harvest style. It shows a fair degree of heat at the end, yet it is always well-structured and had sufficient tannins to argue for another few years of cellaring.
Bright, juicy and spicy with clean, off-dry flavors of peach and citrus; clean, nervy and long.
Smooth and off-dry with peach, apricot and pear; fresh and juicy with bright style and tangy acidity; bright and long.
Generous and juicy with apricot and peach fruit; sweet and rich with ripe flavors and a long, dense finish.
Good Value. Among the better white wine values to come our way in some time, this moderately sweet, well-balanced bottling is absolutely bursting with juicy, optimally ripened peaches. It goes beyond simple sweetness, however, and shows complexing suggestions of honey and marzipan, and it is enlivened by keenly fit acids all the way through. It will make a most amicable quaff when well chilled, but its richness and depth point the way to service with milder curries and shellfish in spicy sauces.
Citrus highlights spike a nose of pear and apricot. Vanilla character comes up with air and becomes more influential on the creamy, full palate. Big, satisfying, and in the classic K-J style.
Platinum color. Moderately light-bodied. Balanced acidity. Moderately extracted. Tropical fruits, strawberries, citrus, kiwi. Very pretty, fragrant nose. Nice fruit flavors are balanced with uplifting acidity. Almost silky-creamy in the mouth. Nice crispness in the finish.
Fragrant scents of yellow herbs and chamomile, flower blossoms and pollen give this clean wine a light touch. Match its honeyed spice to a spring salad of beets and arugula.

This wine shows the presence of excellent fruit, which is expressed on the tropical side with herbal notes, and with excellent acidity. It's immensely pleasant to drink at a fair price, and that's what makes K-J so successful.
Medium straw color. Medium-bodied. Balanced acidity. Highly extracted. Figs, tart tropical fruit, grapefruit. Fully extracted flavors with firm backbone and mildly astringent long finish. This has the weight and strength of flavors to partner richer foods. Full, assertive style.

The 1994 Sauvignon Blanc Grand Reserve is a beautifully made, honeyed, ripe, melony, medium-bodied wine with wonderful freshness and vitality, and a long finish touched gently by spicy wood. It is an attractive, rich, dry white for drinking over the next year.
This almost clear colored Sauvignon Blanc from Kendall-Jackson opens with a mild yellow grapefruit bouquet with a hint of lime zest. On the palate, this wine is light to medium bodied, pleasantly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a nice citrus blend of gentle lemon, yellow grapefruit and lime. The finish is dry and refreshing. This Sauvignon Blanc is food friendly and would pair nicely with swordfish kabobs. Very good.
Smooth and bright with juicy, tangy citrus and hints of lemongrass and minerals; lush and balanced, long and fresh.
Kendall-Jackson’s Avant line of fresh, inexpensive, fruit-driven wines delivers great value. Who cares that there are no bells or whistles with this frisky Sauvignon Blanc, because at $13 (I’ve seen it advertised for as little as $9), it delivers crisp, juicy honeydew melon, lemon-lime and green apple flavors with hints of fennel bulb and lemongrass. I can think of a dozen foods this refreshing wine will complement, chief among them oysters, crab, grilled fish, salads and even tricky asparagus and artichokes. Case purchases recommended.
Bright and ripe with juicy peach and citrus; round, fresh and lively with a long, bracing finish.
This is a good Sauvignon Blanc whose touch of oak adds smoky cream and vanilla. The underlying wine shows Lake County balance, with citrus, lemongrass, peach and green apple flavors accented by crisp acidity, and finished with honey.
