Spicy and rich with lush texture and wonderful smoky, velvety qualitites.
Huge body, rich texture, hints of spice and vanilla. Most grapes come from the slopes of Mount St.Helena in Sonoma County.
Recommended.
From the barrel, it had spectacular extraction of flavor, and a huge, bacon fat, cassis-scented nose that reminded me of top-notch Hermitage. Its texture was softer than a classic Hermitage, but the tannins were ripe and the purity of fruit was admirable.
This knock-out wine reveals a well-developed yet compelling bouquet of black fruits, tar, herbs, and smoky scents. There is lavish richness to this full-bodied, deep, concentrated, lusciously-textured, expansive, mouthfilling wine. This terrific, full-flavored, broad shouldered Zinfandel should drink well for 7-8 years.
Rich, toasty, honeyed, buttery Chardonnay with admirable intensity and an up-front appeal.
Explosive richness, great intensity, and a huge, luscious finish make for a flamboyant mouthful of Chardonnay fruit.
A rich, oily, tropical fruit-scented and flavored wine with an opulent texture.
Medium to dark ruby in color, it offers up aromas of nearly overripe plums, underbrush, and flowers. It has a succulence bordering on fatness, a fleshy, voluptuous texture, and a lusty, heady finish.
One heck of a generously endowed, richly textured, satisfying white wine with enough Chardonnay character to make it a top seller. If more wines like this were available, perhaps Americans would be spending more time in wine shops than in video stores.
A big, lusty, toasty, creamy-textured wine with plenty of fruit, not much complexity, excellent richness, and a soft, attractive finish.
An attractive, hedonistic Pinot Noir, with medium ruby color, a big, spicy, plum and raspberry-scented nose, round, generous, ripe flavors, full body, excellent definition, and a lusty finish, this is a thick, juicy Pinot Noir.
Soft, cherry fruit and a round finish.
Moderately rich with pineapple flavors and pleasantly long finish.
A light, pleasant red with an appealing scent and fruity taste.
Nicely made and well-structured. The wine is spectatular, with an earthy/cherry sort of aroma, deep and powerful fruit, and a racy, spiced aftertaste. The Reserve bottling is a steal.
A ripe, rich, velvety blend of Central and North Coast Pinot Noir. Worth a hunt.
Eucalyptus, sweet coffee, chocolate, balanced and very concentrated.
Real Central Coast style in a wine jammed with fruit, from tropical to a linger all-spice, apple pie sort of finish, yet somehow it all works in an in-your-face kind of way.
Loaded with cassis and raspberries on the nose; big texture in the mouth, with firm tannins and fruit from start to long finish.
Cedar and Cabernet Franc on the nose; cherry and raspberry fruit in the mouth with soft body and accessible tannins; smoky-earthy finish.
Complex nose packed with oak, vanilla, apple, pear and honey; full-flavored on the palate.
This is a rich, toasty, complex wine with tiers of pear, spice, toast and smoky oak flavors, followed by a long finish. A real mouthful.
Lemon blossoms, hazelnut, pear and spicy oak define the nose, but they don't prepare you for the intense, extractive flavors focusing on citrus and tropical fruit that are delicious and deep. Great value.
